Steps to add items to the bill of materials in Exact for Construction

1. Linking to Exact for Construction:
   Make sure your Exact for Construction account is linked to BarTrack. This process is explained in another support article.

2. Creating stock location in BarTrack:
   Before you can add items, you need to create a stock location in BarTrack. The steps for this can be found in this support article.

3. Searching for items in BarTrack:
   After selecting the stock location you want to add items to, you can start searching for products by clicking on the pink plus sign in the bottom right corner. You can search BarTrack for items from the database of all selected wholesalers. How to add wholesalers is described in this support article. Add the desired items to the inventory location to enable easy inventory management.

4. Specifying Exact for Construction item number:
   • Open the item detail page:
     Open the item detail page of the desired stock item in BarTrack by clicking on the blue eye on the right.
   • Enter the item number:
     Enter the Exact for Construction item number in the bottom right, which must always consist of 13 digits.
     
     

5. Specify ordering unit:
   Specify the ordering unit applicable to the item. This is crucial for correct processing and inventory management.

6. Save settings and automatically add to Exact for Construction:
   After entering the item number and ordering unit, save the settings. This will automatically add the item to your bill of materials in Exact for Construction.
   The bill of materials can be found under the master data heading.
