Ordering in the BarTrack Mobile App

In this article, we explain step by step how to place orders using the BarTrack Mobile App. You will learn the different ways to add items to your order list and how to submit an order to one or multiple wholesalers.

Different ways to order in the Mobile App

With the BarTrack Mobile App, you can add items to your order list in multiple ways. Choose the method that best fits your situation: on-site in the warehouse, on the go, or from a predefined list.


1. Search and add items

Use this method when you want to order a specific item.

Steps:

  1. Open the BarTrack Mobile App.

  2. Go to the Ordering tab.

  3. Use the search bar to find an item (for example by name, article number, or EAN).

  4. Click on the item.

  5. Select the desired quantity.

  6. Tap the shopping cart icon to add the item to your order list.

The item is now added to your order list.


2. Order from lists

Do you work with fixed ordering lists or project lists? Then you can quickly add multiple items at once.

Steps:

  1. Go to Lists in the app.

  2. Open the desired list.

  3. Select one or more items.

  4. Choose the required quantity per item.

  5. Add the selection to your order list.

Items on a list may come from different suppliers. BarTrack automatically splits them per wholesaler when the order is submitted.


3. Order from stock locations

Ideal for warehouse management or min/max stock.

Steps:

  1. Go to Stock Locations.

  2. Open the relevant location (for example “Warehouse”, “Van 1” or “Workshop”).

  3. Select the item you want to reorder.

  4. Choose the quantity.

  5. Add it to your order list.

This allows you to order directly from your current stock structure.


4. Order by scanning a barcode

The fastest way to order on location.

Steps:

  1. Open the app.

  2. Tap the scan icon.

  3. Scan the barcode on:

    • The packaging

    • The item itself

    • An order or stock sticker

  4. The item is automatically added to your order list.

  5. Adjust the quantity if necessary.

This method prevents searching and reduces the risk of errors.


5. Order using order or stock stickers

Do you work with BarTrack order stickers or stock stickers? Then you can order even faster.

How does it work?

  • Stickers are printed via BarTrack Web or BarTrack for Desktop.

  • The sticker contains a barcode or QR code.

  • Scan the sticker with the app.

  • The correct item is automatically added to your order list.

This method is ideal for fixed stock locations or a two-bin system.


Placing an order

All selected items are collected in your order list. You can combine items from different suppliers in one ordering session.


Submitting an order – step by step

  1. Go to your order list.

  2. Check the quantities and items.

  3. Click Send.

  4. Optionally add a reference text or link the order to a project.

  5. Verify the selected wholesaler(s).

  6. Click Confirm and send.

The order is now sent to the relevant wholesaler(s) and – if selected – linked to the correct project.


What happens next?

  • You will receive a confirmation in the app and/or by email.

  • The wholesaler processes the order.

  • Delivery and invoicing are handled by the wholesaler.
