Importing items into the HuB

With BarTrack, you can easily import your wholesale item file into the BarTrack HuB, allowing your customers to order their items through BarTrack. Below you can read about the different methods available.

This support article is intended for wholesalers who wish to integrate their article file with BarTrack. Below are the various methods available to efficiently import and update your item information into our system. This ensures that your orderers always have the most up-to-date information.

Tip: Item information, such as images, bar codes and descriptions, can be easily updated and managed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product data.

Importing via CSV file

A common and simple method is to import a CSV file. This file contains all the required item information.

  1. Preparation: Make sure the CSV file matches our standard format.
  2. Upload: Follow the steps in the HuB to import the CSV file.
  3. Processing: BarTrack will read the file and add the items to your item file.

Linking with Channable

For an automated approach, you can use a link with Channable.

Benefits:

  • Automatic synchronization of item data.
  • Less manual work, leading to fewer errors.

Linking to Channable is easy to do in the BarTrack HuB. Go to the settings in the HuB by clicking on the cog icon at the top right. Then navigate to 'Suppliers' and click on the eye on the right side of the article bar to go to the details page. Click 'Edit' again at the top right and scroll down until you come across Channable. Enter your Channable URL and how often information should be retrieved and press 'Submit' at the top of your screen to complete your link.

Creating an Endpoint for CSV Import.

You can set up an endpoint that opens a CSV file in the BarTrack format.

How does this work?

  • Your system regularly generates a CSV file in the BarTrack format.
  • BarTrack will periodically read this file, according to the set frequency.
  • This ensures continuous updating of your item information in our system.
Once you have created an endpoint, the link is easy to establish.
Go to the BarTrack HuB settings by clicking on the cog icon in the upper right corner. Then navigate to 'Suppliers' and click on the eye on the right side of the item bar to go to the detail page. Click 'Edit' again at the top right and scroll down until you see the option for Channable. Enter your endpoint URL and set how often the information should be updated. Then press "Submit" at the top of your screen to complete the link.

Custom Linkage by BarTrack

If none of the above options suffice, BarTrack can develop a custom link for your organization.

Process:

  • A brief kick-off meeting to discuss needs and technical capabilities.
  • Determination of actions and development of a plan for implementation of the custom link.

Import via XML file

In addition to importing a CSV file, BarTrack also offers the option of importing an XML file. For more details on what should be in the XML file and how it should be formatted, please contact our support.
