This article explains how to replace an existing item with a new item number within an inventory location in BarTrack. This is useful when an item has been discontinued or replaced with an alternative.

Replacing an Item Number via Import
If you want to replace an item in an existing inventory location, follow these steps:

Go to order.bartrack and log in.

Click on “My Inventory” in the menu.

Select the inventory location where you want to replace the item.

Click “Import” in the top right corner and download the sample file.

Open the file in Excel and fill in:

the barcode of the new item (the new item number), and

the position where the old item is located (you can find this in your current inventory).

Save the Excel file as a CSV (UTF-8) file.

Go back to BarTrack, click “Import” again, select your CSV file, and choose the correct supplier.

Click “Import” to add the new item.
Removing the Old Item
After importing the new item, remove the old item from the cabinet:

Find the old item in the inventory location.

Click the eye icon next to the item.
-
Click “Remove from location” in the top right corner.
Note: If you delete a custom-created item, it will also be removed from your inventory location.
