Creating a new project, how do I do it?

BarTrack's Project Ordering functionality allows you to easily create and manage projects, both on your PC and mobile. In this article, we explain step by step how to create a new project on bartrack.com

Create a new project on your PC:

  1. Go to "My Projects"
    1. Click on “My Projects” in the top navigation bar.
    2. On this page, you will see an overview of all the projects you have added. You can create a new project manually or, if you have activated the Exact voor Bouw - Project Ordering integration, import projects from Exact.

  2. Click the "+" Button
    1. Click the “+” button in the bottom right corner of the page.
    2. You will be given two options:
      1. Create: To manually create a new project.
      2. Import: To import projects from Exact for Construction.

  3. Enter the Project Specifications
    1. Add at least the project name.
    2. Fill in other fields for a detailed project description, such as groups, locations, and other relevant information.
    3. Click Save to create the project.
  4. View and Manage Your Project
    1. Click the eye icon to the right of the project in the list to view project details.
    2. Want to make changes? Click Edit in the top right corner of the project page.

Create a new project on your smartphone:

The steps for creating a project on your mobile are similar to the steps on the PC. However, on the mobile you cannot add and manage all the detailed information of the project. This is only possible on BarTrack.com. Make sure you have downloaded the BarTrack app and open the menu and click on "My Projects" to create a new project.

  1. Open the menu 
    1. Launch the BarTrack mobile app on your smartphone.
    2. Open the menu by tapping the three dashes (the hamburger menu) in the top corner of your screen.
  2. Select "My Projects" 
    1. In the menu that opens, tap "My Projects.
    2. Here you will see a list of all the projects you have previously created.
  3. Add a new project 

    Tap the "New" button found in the upper-right corner of the screen, to start the process for creating a new project.

  4. Enter the project name

    The screen that now appears will ask you to enter a name for your new project. This is the only information you can enter through the app at this time. The project name is essential and required to create the project.

  5. Save the project

    After entering the project name, confirm the creation of the new project by tapping "Save" or a similar option. Your project is now created and visible in your overview of projects.

  6. Manage project details online 

    To add more details to your project or change the project name later, log in to bartrack.com. There you have access to more options for managing your projects, including changing the project name and adding additional project information.
