EAN-13 or GTIN code:
If the manufacturer's barcode is an EAN-13 or GTIN code and therefore contains 13 digits, it will be automatically copied into the Exact system. -
13-digit code:
In Exact, it is a requirement that item numbers contain 13 digits. If the manufacturer's item number does not meet this requirement, you can create your own 13-digit code and enter it under "Exact item number" on the item detail page.
Note: In BarTrack for Web, make sure that on the detail page of an item, under the heading "Location Information", the "Exact item number" is entered. This is ultimately the number communicated between BarTrack's system and Exact's system.
