What information is synchronized?

With the weighing cabinet integration in BarTrack, you can accurately manage your inventory by automatically tracking the weight of each item. But what information is exactly synchronized?

Product: Weighing cabinet integration in BarTrack

Intended for: All BarTrack purchasers

Data synchronization between the weighing cabinet and the BarTrack system is essential for accurate inventory management. Here's how it works:

Synchronization details

  1. Tray ID and weight:
Each tray in the weighing cabinet has a unique Tray ID. The weight of the tray is measured and passed along with the Tray ID to the BarTrack system. This is the core of synchronization and ensures that the BarTrack system always knows how much stock is in each tray.

  2. Location determination:
Initially, the location of each tray is determined and synchronized with BarTrack when the trays are still empty. This helps with the initial setup of your inventory management. Once the trays are filled, the location is not synchronized so changing trays remains possible.

Use of synchronized data

  1. Article linkage:
In BarTrack, the Tray ID is linked to a specific article. This means that when the weight is measured, BarTrack knows which article it is.

  2. Weight per article:
When importing the article file into BarTrack, the weight per article is also passed on. This allows BarTrack to calculate how much is left in stock of a particular article.

  3. Order suggestions:
When the measured weight falls below a self-determined value, the scale automatically makes an order suggestion. Refer to our support article for more information on order suggestions.

  4. Synchronization frequency:
Synchronization of the Tray ID and weight occurs every 10 minutes. This ensures that you always have an up-to-date overview of your stock.

Summary

With the weighing cabinet integration in BarTrack, Tray ID and weight are synchronized to accurately track your inventory. Tray location is only synchronized initially to maintain flexibility. This data is updated every 10 minutes, so you always have an up-to-date view of your inventory. This integration allows you to work more efficiently and gain better insight into your inventory levels.
