Setting Up Your Weighing Cabinet – Location Information

With BarTrack, you can optimally set up your weighing cabinet to streamline your inventory management and save time. Follow these steps to get the most out of your weighing cabinet!

Navigating to Weighing Cabinet Settings

Follow these steps to access the settings of the weighing cabinet:

1. Go to “My Inventory” within BarTrack.

2. Select the inventory location of the weighing cabinet.

3. Click on the “eye icon” of an item.

4. You are now on the correct page.

Location Information
Here you define the location of the shelf so you can quickly see where an item is placed and immediately put it in the right spot.

• Location name: The name previously assigned to the location.

• Type: The type of storage location, such as weighing_cabinet, warehouse, container, etc.

• Position description: Extra detail about the specific place within the location. E.g., “top left in cabinet.”

• Label name: The text displayed on the physical label at the item’s location.

• Note/Comment: A free field for additional notes or instructions about the item or its location.

• My item number: Internally used item code (e.g., from BarTrack or your own inventory system).

• Exact item number: Item number as registered in Exact for Construction (if known).

• Exact unit: The unit in which the item is tracked in Exact (e.g., piece, meter, box).

• Shelf number: The number or code of the specific shelf or compartment where the item is located. This helps quickly locate and restock items. Think of a structure like “C01-S03” (cabinet 1, shelf 3).
