Set and Manage Your Preferences

With the Preferences page in BarTrack, you indicate where your focus lies. By filling in your goals and current situation, we can better tailor the platform to your organization and provide targeted support and relevant tips.

What can you do with the Preferences page?

On the Preferences page, you indicate:

  • Which challenges you want to address (for example inventory optimization or cost reduction)

  • What your current way of working looks like

  • Where your organization wants to improve

Based on this information, BarTrack can support you more effectively with advice, functionalities, and optimizations.


How do I find my Preferences page?

There are two ways to access your preferences.

Method 1 – Via the settings icon

  1. Click the settings icon (gear icon) in the top right corner.

  2. Click on Profile and Preferences.

  3. Go to the Preferences tab.


Method 2 – Via your account (email address)

  1. Click your email address in the top right corner.

  2. Then click Preferences.

You will now arrive at the page where you can configure your goals and situation.


How do I set my preferences?

Follow the steps below to complete your preferences correctly.

Step 1: Choose your goals

Select the challenges that are relevant to you within the different categories, such as:

  • Optimize inventory management

  • Simplify the ordering process

  • Reduce costs

  • Improve insight into project-based consumption

Simply tick the options that apply to your organization.


Step 2: Fill in your current situation

Under “Current Situation”, answer a few short questions, such as:

  • How many wholesalers do you order from?

  • How often do you place orders?

  • Do you already work with fixed stock locations?

  • Do you use project-based ordering?

By providing this information, we gain better insight into your current way of working.


Step 3: Save your preferences

Click “Save” in the bottom right corner to store your preferences.

Your settings are saved immediately and can be adjusted at any time.


Good to know

  • You can always change your preferences if your way of working changes.

  • The more complete your input, the better BarTrack can align with your daily practice.

  • Your preferences do not affect existing settings or data – they only help us tailor support and advice more effectively.
