What should I do if nothing happens at the gate changeover?

Follow the instructions below:

1. Go to the Control Panel via Start.
2. Go to System (Switch to Classic View on the left side).
3. Go to the Hardware tab.
4. Click on Device Manager.
5. Click '+' next to Ports (COM & LPT).
6. Remember which port (xx) is assigned to 'the Barcode scanner (COM xx)'.
7. Close the screens and Control Panel
8. Right-click on the barcode icon at the bottom right of the Windows clock
9. Click on Settings1
10. Select the found COM (port) xx and click OK.

The scanner beeps and is ready to use.
