Why do I need to install software to work with my handheld scanner?

The BarTrack handscanner is a wireless scanner. You can use the scanner to scan article codes on the shelf or on the packaging of a product. After scanning, the information on the scanner has to be sent over the internet.

To make this possible, a one-time installation of Software on your computer is necessary. The BarTrack for desktop software can be downloaded here: https://www.bartrack.nl/desktop

The software makes sure that the information on the scanner is transferred in a smart way to the right wholesaler / web shop. When connecting your scanner to your computer, your computer must be connected to the internet.
